When I met Laura last year she was just a cute beagle babe smiling in the summer heat and sniffing out people with treats in their pockets. Fortunately for me, I was one of the people with treats! I would have never guessed that she was nine years old. I thought maybe she was five or six years old tops. She had so much life and spirit in those big brown eyes of hers! She also had a habit of sticking her tongue out at the camera, which I found hilarious.
As the year went on, she went into foster care and I saw her almost weekly at adoption events. She was always making new doggie friends and sniffing out treats. She had the heart of a good beagle and I adored her.
When her former foster wasn't able to keep her, I wanted to be first in line for Miss Laura. As soon as I had an opening at my house, this little lady was coming home with me!
