Playing Dress Up

Laura is looking lovely in her new dress! We have been on the hunt for some adoption event outfits and this funky, bright little dress is just perfect for my fun loving little Laura.

We also picked out a fabulous "squirrel patrol" t-shirt because this beagle gal loves to chase the chipmunks in our backyard. She may be ten years old, but miss Laura can move when she is motivated! He he.

Flower Girl

Laura is looking snazzy in her new flower bow after her oatmeal bath today (She was such a good girl!). I can't wait to show her off at adoption events.

Car Rides

It was a beautiful afternoon and I decided that we should take a drive to Petco to get some goodies for Laura and our pups. Laura is always happy to tag along for a car ride! She smiled at me from the front seat while Mamah (my terrier) bounced around in the back.

We picked up a cute flower for Laura to wear on her collar at adoption events and then headed home. Laura and Mamah jumped into the front seat together this time. Mamah is normally pretty picky about sharing our foster dogs, but she is head over heels in love with her girlfriend Laura.

Couch Potato

Laura decided to sit with me on the couch while I graded some papers... She is a great work buddy.

Treat Time!

Laura LOVES treats, especially tasty venison liver pieces! She sits so nicely and her tiny tail wags with excitement every time I take out the treat bag.

She fits right in with our pack. They LOVE treat time too!

And how can you say no to that face?! I sure can't...

Laura's First Day

When my foster dog got adopted today I was very excited that I could bring Miss Laura home as my new foster! After a long day at the adoption event, Laura was one tired pup. It's hard work being that cute! Laura patiently waited while I filled out the paperwork and then happily followed me out to my car. I scooped her up and put her in the passenger sit next to me. She looked contently out the window and then smiled at me as I hopped in next to her. After a few minutes she settled in for a little snooze while I sang to the radio and we headed home.

When we got home, Laura was greeted by our crazy pack of pups - a bossy terrier, a shy shepherd, and a goofy pit bull. She stood there calmly in the yard while they gave her a good sniffing and was then instantly accepted as one of the pack. They all ran around showing Laura the yard and all of the best spots to sniff, then we went inside where she met our cats and ignored them. Our cats prefer it that way though.

After all of the excitement and a yummy dinner, Laura was ready to take a nice long nap. So she picked out her favorite bed and got comfortable. She loves blankets!

Laura is turning out to be the perfect foster pup. She is very well behaved, gets along with all of the dogs, and is just so happy to be in a home. I cannot wait to get to know her more!
